INVITATION FOR PROPOSALS

The City of Ottawa, KS is inviting proposals for the purchase of the Municipal Fiber Optic Network.

Proposals must be titled “Fiber Optic Network RFP” and submitted in a sealed envelope in care of the City Clerk at 101 S Hickory, Ottawa, KS 66067 by 10:00 a.m. October 20, 2023. Proposals received after this time will not be accepted.

Proposals will be publicly opened on October 20, 2023, at 10:15 a.m. in the City Hall Commission Room by city staff.

Documents may be examined and obtained online at https://www.ottawaks.gov/public-requests

Documents may also be examined upon request at Ottawa City Hall located at 101 S Hickory, Ottawa, KS 66067. Requests shall be made to Paul Sommer, Information Technology, (785) 229-3641.

Proposals will be collected and evaluated by City Staff. All proposals will be considered property of the City of Ottawa, are matters of public record, and may be subject to disclosure by the City after the announcement of awards.

The review team will make a recommendation to the City’s Governing Body for approval. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, and all decisions by the Governing Body are final.
