Recently, you may have received a letter from the City regarding our Lead Pipe Survey. We want to clarify that this survey is part of an ongoing effort to inventory and assess the materials used in our water system infrastructure. IF YOU HAVE NOT FILLED OUT THE SURVEY please do so in order to ensure that we have a proper inventory of the materials used. You can do so by visiting www.ottawaks.gov and clicking on the “Take Waterline Survey” button at the top

This material is not an indication of lead being present in our drinking water or distribution system but rather galvanized and unknown material.
The information being collected is purely for inventory purposes, helping us better understand the materials used in our infrastructure.
It is part of a nationwide initiative to improve water safety and ensure communities have access to clean, safe drinking water.
