Assistant Golf Professional- Trey Bones
Trey Bones is an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Golf Professional with a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Studies from Ottawa University. With a deep passion for sports, Trey is committed to applying his academic knowledge and hands-on experience to the golf industry. He is excited to bring his expertise to the City of Ottawa Golf Course, where he can contribute to the growth and success of the club while continuing to develop professionally.
During his time at Ottawa University, Trey maintained a high academic standing, achieving a GPA of 3.8-4.0, while balancing his commitment to athletics as a member of the Men’s Golf Team and the Student Athletic Leadership Team. His leadership qualities and dedication were recognized by the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference, where he received the Champion of Character award in 2023.
Trey’s internship experience as an Assistant Golf Professional at Wolf Creek Golf Club has provided him with valuable insights into the golf industry. He was responsible for assisting in the scheduling and operations of tournaments, managing sales and inventory, and working closely with golf professionals to ensure an excellent experience for club members and guests.
Now, as part of the team at the City of Ottawa Golf Course, Trey is eager to bring his passion for the game and his professional skills to help elevate the golfing experience for members and visitors. With a strong foundation in sports leadership, customer service, and golf operations, Trey is dedicated to ensuring a positive and rewarding experience at the course while furthering his knowledge of the golf industry.
