The City of Ottawa, KS has a policy of nondiscrimination on the basis of disability with regard to employees or job applicants as well as the accessibility of city programs and activities to the citizens of Ottawa, KS.
Michelle Stegman, the city's ADA Coordinator, is designated to coordinate compliance with the nondiscrimination requirements contained in section 35-107 of the Department of Justice regulations.

(Charter Board 1, 2, and 3-year terms)
FUNCTION: The role of the Accessibility Advisory Board is to advise and make recommendations to the City Commission on matters of accessibility in City buildings, properties and/or green spaces; to provide technical assistance to the City on matters related to the disabled population, to serve as advocates for citizens with disabilities; and to serve as a resource on policy and/or procedures for members of the City Commission and for City staff.
